Prayer is one of our core values and
is an essential foundation for all ministry at the Kalamazoo
Free Methodist Church.
How to Pray for KFM
1. Give thanks to God for our people.
I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you
in my prayers.
Ephesians 1:16
2. Pray that we would receive the Spirit of wisdom
and revelation.
I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the
glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation,
so that you may know him better.
Ephesians 1:17
3. Pray that we would see our hope, our riches in
Christ and the power available to us in Christ.
I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened
in order that you may know the hope to which he has called
you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,
and his incomparably great power for us who believe. Ephesians
1:18
4. Pray that we would receive spiritual strength
and live in the power of Christ’s daily presence.
I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen
you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so
that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.
Ephesians 3:16,17
5. Pray that we would receive the spiritual resources
to both grasp and experience Christ’s love so that we
are filled with God’s fullness.
And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love,
may have power together with all the saints, to grasp how
wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and
to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that you
may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Ephesians
3:18,19
6. Pray His Promise.
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we
ask of imagine, according to his power that is at work within
us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout
all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

How to Pray for our Sunday Gatherings
Pray that God would help our people to respond to the Word
of the Lord as it is taught here every week.
Pray that people today will seek the fullness of the Holy
Spirit in their lives.
Pray for the conviction of the Holy Spirit to accompany our
teaching time.
Pray that people might fully enter into the worship of God,
in spirit and truth as we sing, pray, give and respond to
the Lord.
Pray that we embrace the abundant life Jesus promised his
followers.
Pray for spiritual protection around our church; our pastor’s,
lay leaders, ministries, finances, etc.
Pray that the Lord will bless us with all the resources necessary
to be effective with our ministries and meet the needs of
the people we are reaching.
Pray for the miraculous.
God’s delivering grace.
God’s healing grace.
God’s restorative grace.
God’s saving grace.
God’s sanctifying grace.
