The Kalamazoo Free Methodist Church has been
a part of our community for nearly 125 years. As we planned
for our 125th anniversary celebration, we decided that we
wanted to do something to make the world a better place and
to provide hope in an area of the world that desperately needs
it. Please view
our video presentation about the impact that we can have
by providing fresh water wells in Malawi.
Our Vision:
As we look forward to our 125th anniversary on Oct. 5th 2008,
our goal is to raise $50,000 in order to drill wells in south
central Africa. We are seeking out partnerships with other
individuals, churches and community organizations to reach
this goal.
Progress Report:
The first two wells we funded were scheduled to begin
drilling the week of April 7th, 2008! The wells are in 2 separate
villages in Malawi. Below are some pictures of the current
"water sources" these villages are relying on.
Our Invitation:
We invite you as fellow community members to partner
with us and make a tax-deductible donation to this worthy
cause. Donations can be made by check and either given to
a member of our congregation or mailed to the church:

family-friendly ingredients during the day and a concert at
night. On Sunday October 5th, we will have a special celebration
service. The highlight of our celebration will be the video
footage of the actual water wells we have provided for as
well as the joyous faces of those whose lives we have greatly
benefited. Together, we'll celebrate this great milestone!
